Back in 2020, we carried out the first SmartDEPOT™ tests on a MINI-class bus at the PKM Jaworzno depot. We were the first team in Poland to demonstrate autonomous bus maneuvering inside a depot – with no driver behind the wheel.

In 2024, our technology was deployed for the first time on a fully integrated smartbus manufactured in Poland. Equipped with SmartDEPOT™, the vehicle moves safely and independently around the depot, fully aligned with scheduled operations.

Our innovative system provides the perfect support for traditional lidar sensors, offering extremely precise vision-based geometry estimation for a moving vehicle. The system generates point clouds that are much denser and free of typical lidar artefacts such as ‘ghosts’ (false objects). As a result, it provides outstanding accuracy, especially in difficult conditions such as the presence of highly reflective surfaces (e.g. road signs).
The system continuously monitors the quality of the data and automatically compensates for differences through precise camera synchronisation. The average distance determination error is just 2% over a range of 0.5-50 metres.
Thanks to its modular design, the system can be easily adapted to specific needs and vehicle configurations. It can complement lidars or even replace them without the need to develop new algorithms, significantly reducing the cost of building a customer solution.
